Born in Athens, Greece, in 2002, I am an upcoming painter currently based in New York pursuing my MFA. My work embodies oil colour paintings, drawings and etchings that illustrate the essence of my being. I explore the possibilities of line, creating a room, a landscape, a space where time and human experience coexist. Using oil colour, I challenge the mark-making of the brushstroke to create bodily figures that interlace with each other upon the plane of my canvas. I let my brush create depth between the figures, dance along the vividness of colours, let air fall through and create balance. I find myself exploring new spaces, new rooms, new doors, new paths, that I fall, jump, hide, and run. I become part of my painting and illustrate a new sensation of the being. I imagine myself in a world of infinite choice, turning the known into what is hoped to be explored.
